R J Franklin and Son are a very professional, knowledgeable and reliable company.
Charlie has such great attention for detail, and he is always planning ahead to ensure materials are on site ready, and if other trades are needed they are all arranged well ahead of when they are required. All workmanship is to Charlie's exacting standard, there is absolutely no down-time and the whole team worked incredibly hard. The outcome of the build is excellent.

We have used RJ Franklin on three projects over the past couple of years and I can safely say that I would not consider using any other builder for future projects. The Franklin family have worked in the North Somerset area for many years. My family have employed them for all work big and small. The first job was in 1987 when they modernised our 300 year old listed farmhouse. We were delighted with their work. Last job was to convert a bungalow for my needs, wheelchair access to all rooms, easy accessible bathroom, light and airy everywhere. Charlie and Roger have carried out a number of building works for us over the past 25 years or more. These have always been carried out to an extremely high standard and have included rebuilding after a house fire, renovating three ancient stone barns, and many smaller jobs. They have always demonstrated a hard-working, conscientious and careful approach to all their work. Most recently, we instructed them to carry out a complex and ambitious house renovation and extension. They worked to budget and to time, and there were no unpleasant surprises in regards to finance or time delays. They dealt with sub-contractors, architects and surveyors very professionally. We are over the moon with our newly-refurbished cottage and do not think any other builders would have been able to deal with what turned out to be a very complicated nine-month building programme so effectively.
